Arts For The Schools has been working hard to provide our communities with access to cross cultural visual and performing arts for the Tahoe Truckee region and beyond.

Founded in 1984 by Terry Yagura, the organization originally sought to address a decline in arts education by providing cultural and artistic programming for rural schools. Today Arts For The Schools serves dozens of communities in our service area; four counties, 25 schools in both California and Nevada in counting.

Arts education is at the heart of what we do and our primary mission. Due to our unique location, we serve students and schools in both California and Nevada. We offer in-school visual arts classes, music classes, and host performances and workshops for regional schools.

We are a 501 c(3) non-profit that works to provide community and school-based art programs.
