A Musical Field Journal combines Earth Science, Ecology, Language Arts, and the Visual & Performing Arts in a true multimedia experience—songbook + album—deepening environmental stewardship through the arts. The initiative also commissions new musical and visual works inspired by the Truckee-Tahoe region, bridging nature-based education with the arts to strengthen students’ social-emotional connection to the earth.
