AFtS was incorporated in 1984 and serves the North Lake Tahoe community of schools, including grades K-12 in Truckee, Tahoe City, Kings Beach, and Incline Village. AFtS is located at 11045 Donner Pass Road., Suite 1A, Truckee.
Focus Statement
Arts For the Schools is a nonprofit organization that enhances our children's education and fosters a lifelong love of the creative arts.
Mission Statement
The mission of AFtS is to enrich the cultural and interactive life of our whole community by providing educational and experiential opportunities to participate in the arts on a variety of levels. AFtS strives to provide access, awareness, education and the opportunity for cultural and artistic expression.
AFtS seeks to develop and address the needs of children with diverse learning abilities through the power of art and to increase the understanding of other cultures with hands-on projects and live interaction with artists from around the world.
